About Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers

Cisco introduces the high end router Cisco ASR 1001-X at the edge of Customer enterprise network where connectivity and the traffic flow is high. There are lot of routers as per capacity for the enterprise network but as the first choice for enterprise network connectivity to the service provider via MPLS is Cisco ASR 1001-X

Cisco ASR 1001-X has the capacity of 2.5 Gbps and can be upgraded to 20 Gbps. ASR 1001-X has 6 inbuilt SFP GE ports and 2 inbuilt SFP 10GE port. The ASR 1001-X is not integrated with daughter cards. It has dual power supply AC or DC. It has RP( Route Processor Slots) and Embedded Processor Slots. By using Embedded processor you can easily upgrade the backplane capacity till 20 Gbps.

Cisco ASR 1002-X has the capacity of 5 Gbps and can be upgraded to 36 Gbps. ASR 1002-X has 6 inbuilt SFP GE ports. It has dual power supply AC or DC. It has RP( Route Processor Slots) and Embedded Processor Slots. By using Embedded processor you can easily upgrade the backplane capacity till 36 Gbps.

Cisco ASR 1001-HX has the capacity of 44 Gbps and can be upgraded to 60 Gbps. ASR 1001-HX has 12 inbuilt SFP GE ports and 8 inbuilt SFP 10GE port. It has dual power supply AC or DC. It has RP( Route Processor Slots) and Embedded Processor Slots. By using Embedded processor you can easily upgrade the backplane capacity till 60 Gbps.

Cisco ASR 1002-HX has the capacity of 44 Gbps and can be upgraded to 100 Gbps. ASR 1002-HX has 8 inbuilt SFP GE ports and 8 inbuilt SFP 10GE port. It has dual power supply AC or DC. It has RP( Route Processor Slots) and Embedded Processor Slots. By using Embedded processor you can easily upgrade the backplane capacity till 100 Gbps.
