Comparison between Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series Switches vs HP Pro-curve 2500/4000M
Today I am going to talk about the fair comparison between the two vendors access switches which are widely used in the various campus networks or you can use there in various enterprises. Both Switches are excellent with their features and in this article i will talk about the comparison with features.

Now lets talk about the topic which i started from the beginning. Earlier i wrote an article regarding the comparison of Cisco 2960X vs Cisco 3650 vs Cisco 3850. Below is the table showing the comparison between the switches, We will talk about many switching features when we are going to compare these switches like support to Spanning tree protocol, Port-Fast, Uplink Fast and Backbone Fast Features, RSTP, Multiple Spanning Tree Features, PVST+

We are also going to compare some of the multicast features like IGMP Snooping with Bandwidth optimization. Other features like VTP, Voice VLAN support, Dynamic VLAN assignment, DTP, Private VLAN support, TACACS+ and RADIUS.
We will also compare some of the security features like Port Security, MAC aging, SSH, SNMP, 802.1x authentication, security filtering and MAC address notification.
