Introduction to Service Provider SDN approach- Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO)

Today I am going to talk about the Cisco NSO- Network Services Orchestrator which is just like the Cisco DNA center in the campus but for the service provider environment. As now the approach is towards the SDN- Software defined networking, Cisco NSO- Network Services Orchestrator is industry-leading software for automating services across traditional and virtualized networks.

Cisco NSO-Network Services Orchestrator enabled by Tail-f is a model driven (YANG) platform for automating your network orchestration. It supports multi-vendor networks through a rich variety of Network Element Drivers (NEDs).

Cisco NSO provisions the procedure of validating, implementing and abstracting your network config and network services, providing support for the entire transformation into intent based networking.

NSO permits big composite networks while delivering a single, uniform interface to the complete network infrastructure and integration with back-end business and operations systems. It provides ready-made models from over a hundred vendors, to automate even the most complex services through the use of advanced features like multiple name spaces and multiple version support.
