Cisco Tetration for Datacenter Server and Switching Insights


Today I am going to talk about Cisco Tetration. Many of you already knew about the Cisco Tetration platform while its new for some of you guys. Cisco Tetration is the platform to provide the visibility across the datacenter network. Cisco Tetration platform tackles data center functioning and security encounters by delivering wide-ranging workload guard proficiency and extraordinary insights through multi-cloud infrastructure.

By means of both hardware and software sensors implemented through the data center infrastructure, Cisco Tetration gathers all packet and each flow at every speed. Likewise, we can enhance third-party configuration information, such as server load-balancing configurations and configuration management database data to the sensors, to surge the solution’s full understanding of enterprise environment.

In addition to the granular packet-based telemetry, the Cisco Tetration resolution can also gather and uphold record about the processes operating on each of the servers.

How can we achieve resolutions via Cisco Tetration ?
Cisco Tetration addresses the encounters by means of inclusive traffic telemetry data collected from both servers and Cisco Nexus switches. The platform executes advanced analytics consuming an algorithmic method and offers wide-ranging workload guard for a multi-cloud data center. This algorithmic method comprises unsupervised machine-learning methods and behavioral analysis.

Cisco Tetration solution configurations are 39-rack-unit (39RU), 8RU, Tetration Cloud, Tetration-V, and Tetration SaaS.

What are Cisco Tetration Primary Features ?
Cisco Tetration have Software Sensors which can capture all activities on a server, you can say it can be east-west traffic in the datacenter traffic.
It also collect telemetry data using ERSPAN sensors from portions of the network in which software and hardware sensors are not present. It also have Net-flow and Hardware sensors for better correlation and analysis. It has Any-connect NVM Proxy sensor, Sensor support for NAT and PAT.

What are the application specifications in Cisco Tetration ?
Maximum of 14 number of concurrent user applications that can be run on the platform. 100 number of applications can be submitted. Data limit for uploading external data to be used in an application is 5TB. Container specification for each application is 3-core virtual CPU and 6 GB of RAM.
