Cisco Firepower

It includes a range of products and technologies, including the Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) appliance, Firepower Management Center (FMC), and Firepower Services Modules (FSM).

The Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) appliance is a unified software image that integrates multiple security functions, such as firewall, intrusion prevention, advanced threat protection, and URL filtering, into a single device. 

The FTD device runs on the Firepower eXtensible Operating System (FXOS) and provides a single management interface for administrators to configure and manage all security functions.

A specific product inside the Cisco Firepower platform is called Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD). It is a unified software image that combines many security features into a single device, including firewall, intrusion prevention, sophisticated threat protection, and URL filtering. 

Administrators may setup and control all security operations using a single management interface provided by the FTD appliance, which utilizes the Firepower eXtensible Operating System (FXOS).
